The plane spotting logbook
About the app
Spotting is all about the moment: the sound, the livery, the tail number you catch just in time. AVSpot identifies the aircraft the instant you type the registration, so you can keep your eyes on the runway and enjoy the show.
It’s just as happy at the fence line as at your desk: log quickly while aircraft are moving, then come back later to add your own photos, relive the day, or bring in years of older logs from a spreadsheet.
Highlights
Start a session at the airport, type the registration and tap once. A running count shows today's spots and how many are new to you, so every session feels like progress.
AVSpot looks up the type and operator for each registration, adds a photo of that exact airframe when one exists, and can show which flight it was operating.
Browse everything you've seen by type, airline, manufacturer or tail number. First-time catches are celebrated, so the rare ones stand out.
Your sightings, photos and locations are visible only to your account, and location is only recorded at the moment you log.
The official AVSpot website has the full feature tour, friendly support, and store links as soon as they're live.
